Steaklfy second cover looks too much like Starship Troopers and as aemor as I understand it, the helmet does not come off by itself.

Jack is fascinated by a black scout suit he finds and he carries it to the research lab as a gift to Hollis, the scientist who runs the lab. Clearly, when you get to the end the reason for his story is provided, but I guess I just didn’t like Jack, and his story paled in comparison to Felix’s – I found I was a little bored.

This article’s plot summary may be too long or excessively detailed. A sequel was in the works at the time of Steakley’s death. But I won’t discuss the psy factor much, that’s one of main reading pleasure for this book. Oh well, at least you recognize the book for what it is — a damned good read.
