The story picks up the timeline directly after the events of Don’t Talk Back To Your Vampire and is heavily reliant on the back story of the first two novels, so best to read the series in order to avoid spoilers and get the most out of the exposition and world building. I think it would bardzley easy to go overboard with that – so I am happy that it’s handled well and that – as a person with no children in her life – it doesn’t alienate me and turn me off the series.

Entertaining read as long as you don’t ask to many questions along the lines of I like more strife and struggle. As if adding on that she’s a single mother!
